Seoul’s Yongsan District will host the ‘2025 Yongsan-Sookmyung Employment and Startup Fiesta’ at the Snowflake Plaza Hall of Sookmyung Women’s University from September 15 to 16. This event, jointly organized by Yongsan District and Sookmyung Women’s University, is designed to provide employment and startup opportunities for young people and local residents.
The event is divided into an employment special exhibition and a startup special exhibition. In the employment special exhibition, mentoring and recruitment consultation booths will be available by job and company type. About 30 companies and various current and former experts will participate, offering direct communication with job seekers. On the 15th at 3 p.m., KOTRA will host a plenary session on overseas employment, and on the 16th at 2 p.m., Hwang In, known for appearing on tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ as the ‘God of Employment’, will deliver a special lecture.
The startup special exhibition will feature 20 companies showcasing innovative products through pop-up stores, providing visitors the opportunity for hands-on experience. Experts from accelerators and venture capital will also run startup counseling booths to support the growth of startups. Writers Kwak Jung-eun and KakaoTalk emoticon creator Kim Namu will offer entrepreneurship lectures to share advice with aspiring entrepreneurs.

Supplementary events such as fingerprint aptitude tests, color image making, and job experience centers will aid participants in their career exploration. Sales booths for local markets and social economy enterprises will also operate to contribute to revitalizing the local economy.
After the event, the ‘2025 Seoul Northwest 4-gu Online Job Fair’ will continue from September 22 to October 24. This fair, co-hosted by Yongsan, Mapo, Seodaemun, and Eunpyeong Districts along with the Seoul Western Employment and Labor Administration, will be open to young and middle-aged job seekers, those looking to change jobs, and upcoming vocational high school graduates.
Park Hee-young, the head of Yongsan District, stated, “We hope this event will serve as a new opportunity for employment and a stepping stone for entrepreneurship for youth and residents. We expect that many will be able to realize their dreams through this chance and grow together with the local community.”
Meanwhile, last year’s ‘2024 Yongsan-gu Online and Offline Job Fair’ achieved the result of 69 people successfully securing employment.
