Seoul’s Seongbuk-gu will host the 11th ‘Children’s Friend (親區) Seongbuk Festival’ on May 3. The event will take place at the Seongbuk-gu Office, including the mayor’s office and the open-air courtyard in front of the office. The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This event is designed to have children be at the center of the festival, allowing them to participate and enjoy actively. Activities will include a ‘One-Day Child Mayor Experience,’ youth facility joint experience booths, magic bubble shows, and various play and experience opportunities on the lawn of Seongbuk-gu Office.
The event will also feature the finals of the children’s song festival and youth club performances, providing family-friendly programs that visitors can enjoy together. Through the festival, Seongbuk-gu aims to foster community unity, promote intergenerational communication, and offer special experiences for children.
Seongbuk-gu Mayor Lee Seung-ro stated, “We hope to create happy memories for children while also providing a time for the community to grow and communicate together,” adding, “We look forward to the participation of many residents.”
