Notebook LM is a generative AI-based tool designed for users to efficiently understand and utilize complex information. Since its launch, it has been used by millions worldwide, with continuous requests for a mobile app version. In response, Google has enabled the use of Notebook LM on smartphones and tablets supporting iOS 17 or higher, and Android 10 or higher.

One of the core features of the mobile app is ‘AI Audio Overviews’. Users can listen to a summary of selected information via voice, even offline. This feature remains functional in subways or areas with disconnected communication, supporting background play that allows simultaneous use with other apps.

The real-time interaction feature has also been enhanced. Users can press the ‘participate’ function to ask AI questions immediately during audio overviews. It is possible to change the flow of the conversation or explore specific topics in-depth.

The content sharing feature is also notable. Various content like websites in use, PDF documents, and YouTube videos can be directly transferred to Notebook LM via the app’s share button. The app automatically analyzes and summarizes the content, storing it in the user’s notebook. Plans are underway to support more input formats in the future.

Google stated that this app launch will be useful not only to students but also to professionals and users who frequently deal with a large amount of information. Users can download the Notebook LM app for free from the App Store or Google Play Store.
