The ‘Global Telco AI Roundtable,’ which followed the summit, was attended by over 100 leaders from the global telecommunications industry. In his keynote speech, CEO Yoo stated, “The era of AI transformation presents an unprecedented opportunity for telecom companies,” emphasizing the importance of building infrastructure to support this. He introduced SK Telecom’s mid-to-long-term strategy, the ‘AI Infrastructure Super Highway,’ which aims to make AI easily accessible to anyone through a nationwide AI highway comprising an AI data center, GPU cloud service (GPUaaS), and Edge AI.

Since its launch in 2023, the Global Telco AI Alliance has been promoting the development of AI-based services and joint research. Now, it plans to accelerate the commercialization of AI technology through cross-border collaboration. CEO Yoo emphasized, “Success is impossible without cooperation with AI companies and policymakers. Telecom companies are supporting next-generation innovation with intelligent networks. Let’s open the future of AI together.”

The Global Telco AI Alliance plans to expand its membership and strengthen technological solidarity from this MWC25, with a declaration to drive AI innovation led by telecom companies. It is also expected to accelerate the establishment of a global AI ecosystem in collaboration with policies and industries of various countries.
