The ‘Seoul Middle-aged Job Fair 2025,’ hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and jointly organized by the Seoul 50 Plus Foundation and the Credit Card Social Contribution Foundation, will be held from July 1 to 2 at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). Now in its third year, this fair offers digital-based job connections and various employment support services for middle-aged job seekers.

At this year’s fair, over 120 companies, including Hyundai Home Shopping, LG Hi-Care Solution, and Lotte GRS, will participate with plans to hire around 1,600 individuals. Notably, the fair will incorporate the latest technologies such as AI video interviews, QR-based check-ins, mobile helpers, and kiosk information search systems to enhance digital capabilities, allowing job seekers to experience the evolving employment environment.

The first fair in 2023 welcomed 2,235 job seekers, and in 2024, 3,414 participated, with the scale expanding each year. This year, the duration of the event has been extended to two days, and the number of participating companies is the largest to date.

Onsite, 1:1 interviews and consultations between companies and job seekers will take place, with nine companies participating in relay recruitment briefings. Priority admission will be granted to those who pre-register for the briefing sessions, and those wishing to be interviewed on-site must bring their resumes.

At the ‘Tomorrow (my job) Planning Hall,’ employment consulting experts will be available to provide free practical job-seeking strategies, including resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, and certificate utilization strategies. Anyone can receive consultations regardless of prior application status.

The opening ceremony will feature commendations awarded to companies that have contributed to job creation for middle-aged individuals, including VCNC (Tada), McDonald’s Korea, and KB Golden Life Care. These companies have been recognized for their efforts in open hiring, customized education, and establishing stable employment models.

Additionally, an ‘Information Support Hall’ will be set up at the fair, where 11 institutions, including the Seoul Job Center, Seoul Employment and Labor Office, and Korea Polytechnic University, will offer consulting services necessary for life transitions, covering employment, entrepreneurship, welfare, and finance.

After the fair, the Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to continue expanding job opportunities for the middle-aged by holding additional job fairs in five regions. The fairs in the Central and Eastern regions will be held on August 20 and 26, while those in the Northern and Western regions will take place on September 9 and 18, respectively.

Kang Myung, CEO of the Seoul 50 Plus Foundation, stated, “We will actively adapt middle-aged individuals to the digital job-seeking environment and expand effective job models that leverage their careers.” Information regarding the fair can be found on the 50 Plus Portal.
