The district of Seongbuk-gu in Seoul has announced the awarding of commendations to 13 individuals who contributed to the protection and development of youth, in celebration of ‘Youth Month’.
The youth protection commendation ceremony was held on June 23 at the Seongbuk-gu office’s Sky Hall. On this day, seven members from the Seongbuk District Youth Harmful Environment Monitoring Group received commendations, including Kim Seong-geun, Yoon Jae-pil, and Lee Gi-wan from the Seongbuk branch, and Kang Min-hwa, Kim Sang-il, Seo Bung-seok, and Jeong Yeon-seo from the Jongam branch.
The ceremony for youth development commendations took place on June 25 in the office of the Seongbuk-gu mayor. Recipients included Park Jong-guk from the Seongbuk Youth Culture House, Lee Geun-hyung from the Jangwi Youth Culture Nuri Center, Park Wan-geun and Kim Mi-ae from the School-Exempt Youth Support Center, and Kim Eun-ae from the Wolgok Youth Center and Park Soo-bin from the Seokkwan Youth Center, totaling six individuals.

This commendation was prepared by Seongbuk-gu to appreciate the hard work of on-site workers engaged in youth protection activities and to encourage their continuous participation in activities to improve youth rights and interests.
Seongbuk-gu Mayor Lee Seung-ro stated, “We will continue to provide support so that youth can grow in a healthy and proper environment. Through various policies, we aim to create a society where young people are protected from harmful environments and can realize their dreams.”
