Roh Tae-moon, acting head of Samsung Electronics’ DX division, stated, “The Galaxy S25 Edge surpasses the limits of ultra-slim technology, innovating user experience.” He added, “It represents a new category in the industry, achieving a perfect balance between design and engineering craftsmanship.”

The Galaxy S25 Edge incorporates ‘Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2’ as a new material for the front display. It features a titanium frame and is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance.
The rear camera is equipped with a 200-megapixel ultra-high-resolution wide-angle camera. The ultra-wide lens has 12 megapixels with added autofocus support for close-up shots. Pixel size has increased by approximately 40% compared to the Galaxy S25 and S25+.
It features the ProVisual Engine, enhancing clarity and detail, and naturally realizes skin tones in portrait photography. It also includes Galaxy AI-based audio eraser, sketch transformation, and generative editing functions.
Under the hood, it houses the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, jointly developed by Samsung and Qualcomm, boosting on-device AI processing capabilities. A thinner and wider vapor chamber compared to the Galaxy S24 is included, enhancing the heat dissipation system.
The ProScaler feature improves image scaling quality by about 40% compared to the Galaxy S24 series. It also incorporates the mDNIe (Mobile Digital Natural Image) quality enhancement solution.
The Galaxy AI-based ‘Now Brief’ and ‘Now Bar’ features provide personalized information and activity status checks. Writing Assist features have been enhanced, including text summarization, translation, table generation, and image storage capabilities.
In collaboration with Google, a real-time visual AI function has been introduced. Users can share camera displays and receive information via voice commands, offering real-time feedback based on the surrounding environment.
Data processed by on-device AI is securely stored on a hardware security chip via Knox Vault.
