The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Electric Association are recruiting companies to participate in the K-Grid overseas exhibition and export promotion conference. The aim of this initiative is to promote the excellence of K-Grid technology and expand the foundation for entering overseas markets by supporting promising small and medium enterprises in the field of power equipment and generation to participate in overseas exhibitions and export promotion conferences.

In recent years, as major countries have been pushing for energy transition and the expansion of advanced industries, the demand for power grids has been increasing rapidly. As a result, the government established the ‘K-Grid Global Expansion Strategy’ last December and launched the ‘K-Grid Export Alliance’ in collaboration with Korea Electric Power Corporation and six power generation companies. The core of this support project is to systematize the export activities of companies by integrating and linking the previously individually conducted overseas exhibition support programs.
This year’s project will hold a total of six overseas exhibitions and export promotion conferences in Japan (Osaka), the United States (Chicago), Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City), Indonesia (Jakarta), United Arab Emirates (Dubai), and Spain (Bilbao), providing approximately 100 domestic small and medium-sized enterprises with opportunities to participate. Selected companies will receive support for overseas exhibition booth rental fees, transportation and customs clearance costs, as well as interpretation and operational costs.
Choi Yeon-woo, Director of Power Policy at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, stated, “We expect to have the opportunity to widely publicize the excellent technology of our companies, which have established the most stable grid among major countries,” and added, “We will actively support the export support system, including information, certification, legal, and financial aspects, to ensure that overseas networks lead to actual export results.”
Companies wishing to participate can apply on the Korea Electric Association website (www.kea.kr) and can also check detailed support details and selection criteria.
