The Seoul Volunteer Center is recruiting non-profit organizations to carry out citizen-participatory volunteer activities to support neighbors who are isolated and neglected in loneliness.
This project is part of the “Seoul without Loneliness” initiative, aiming to identify residents who are in welfare blind spots and solve local issues through creative volunteer models. The target participants are non-profit organizations active within Seoul, and a total of 10 organizations will be selected to conduct customized, community-oriented activities.
The volunteer activities will be conducted for approximately six months, from May to October. Key activities include identifying residents in welfare blind spots, providing emotional support, and launching resident-participatory campaigns. Selected organizations will receive project funding, as well as activity certificates, participation in performance sharing sessions, and additional support such as capacity-building training as needed.
The Seoul Volunteer Center expects this project to help build a sustainable care network led by non-profit organizations and expand the citizen participation base. Organizations interested in applying can check the announcement on the center’s website or inquire directly for more detailed information.
Song Chang-hoon, Director of the Seoul Volunteer Center, expressed hope that cooperation with non-profit organizations will help lonely neighbors care for each other through volunteer activities, fostering a warm community.
