The Ministry of the Interior and Safety (Minister Ho-jung Yoon) announced that the usage period for the 1st and 2nd livelihood recovery consumption coupons would end at 24:00 on November 30 (Sunday). The ministry urged consumers who have not yet used their coupons to use them in full within the period.

The consumption coupons were issued in the form of credit and debit cards, and the government set the usage period until November 30 to stimulate economic recovery. After the deadline, any remaining balance will automatically expire.

As of November 16, 97.5% of the total consumption coupons amounting to 9.668 trillion won issued by credit and debit cards were already used, which amounts to 8.8407 trillion won.

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety is working with credit and debit card companies and local governments to continuously inform users who have not yet used their coupons about the expiration date through the National Secretary Service, text messages, apps, and websites.

Minister Ho-jung Yoon of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety stated, “Thanks to the active use of consumption coupons by the public, local small businesses have regained vitality,” and urged, “Those who have not yet used their coupons should use up their remaining balance within the deadline.”
