LG has donated 2 billion won to the Community Chest of Korea to help residents affected by the simultaneous wildfires recently in Gyeongsang Province. The donated funds will be used for the recovery of the wildfire-affected areas and to support the displaced residents.

An LG spokesperson stated, “We aim to contribute, even slightly, to the swift recovery from the damages so that residents who have lost their homes due to the sudden disaster can return to their daily lives as soon as possible.”

LG subsidiaries are also actively participating in helping the wildfire victims.

LG Electronics is providing appliances such as air purifiers for use at temporary shelters and is operating a mobile service center to repair damaged appliances free of charge.

LG Household & Health Care plans to support displaced residents with essential items including toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and body wash worth 500 million won.

LG Uplus is committed to providing smooth communication services by operating battery charging vehicles and offering temporary Wi-Fi services in affected areas such as Sancheong and Hadong in South Gyeongsang Province, and Uiseong in North Gyeongsang Province. Additionally, they are aiding children in the disaster-stricken areas by providing kids’ kits filled with coloring books and toys. They are also collaborating with the Animal Freedom Coalition to conduct activities to rescue the companion animals of displaced residents.
