LG Display has won two innovation awards at CES 2026. LG Display (CEO Cheol-Dong Jeong) announced on the 17th that its ‘Dual view OLED for vehicles’ and ‘UDC-IR (Under Display Camera-infrared) OLED for vehicles’ were selected for the CES 2026 Innovation Award, recognized for being the first of their kind in the world.

The CES Innovation Award is presented annually by the Consumer Technology Association based on technological innovation and market contribution. LG Display’s two products received high scores in space utilization, picture quality, safety, reliability, and durability in the ‘In-Vehicle Entertainment’ category, proving their innovativeness.

The ‘Dual view OLED for vehicles’ allows drivers to check navigation while passengers watch movies or OTT content on the same display, providing the first-ever vehicle OLED solution of its kind. By installing it in the center of the back seat, passengers on both sides can watch different videos simultaneously, greatly enhancing the use of in-car space.

This product optimizes pixel structure so that a driver’s touch on the screen does not affect the passenger side. It employs a tandem OLED element structure for superior picture quality and offers durability under extreme conditions, functioning at temperatures ranging from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.

The ‘UDC-IR OLED for vehicles’, developed in collaboration with LG Innotek, is the first OLED technology to entirely conceal the camera within the display to create a full-screen experience. The screen transparency in the camera area is increased, and the algorithm is optimized so that the camera’s presence is not detectable from the driver’s view. LG Innotek’s IR camera and image correction software ensure precise monitoring of driver movements.

Globally, legislation mandating monitoring cameras to ensure driver safety is expected. LG Display, having preemptively secured the related technology, plans to proactively respond to market changes.

LG Display has continuously won innovation awards at every participation in the CES mobility technology hall. For instance, at CES 2023, the company won for its film-type vehicle sound solution, and at CES 2024, it was awarded for its 57-inch pillar-to-pillar LCD.

At CES 2026, LG Display will set up a dedicated booth for vehicle displays at the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall to showcase its next-generation vehicle display solutions to global automotive and OEM customers. The large OLED segment will be unveiled at a customer-exclusive booth at the Conrad Hotel.
