The Korea Radio Promotion Association (RAPA, Chairman Hong Beom-sik) has announced that it will launch the ‘Meta Llama Academy’ in cooperation with Meta (CEO Mark Zuckerberg) and Upstage (CEO Kim Seong-hoon) and recruit students for the ‘LLM Agent & On-device AI Workshop 1st Class’ until September 17.
The Meta Llama Academy is a practical AI talent training program operated for the first time in Korea in collaboration with Meta. The goal is to nurture talent that will lead the next generation of AI innovation in partnership with Upstage.
The workshop will be conducted over three days. The first day includes an introduction and practical use of LLM agents. The second day focuses on practicing performance enhancement using Meta’s Llama model. The third day involves developing AI services through team projects.
Applicants should be developers interested in AI development, related major students, or adults with programming skills. Application intent and professionalism will be evaluated through document screening, and online basic education materials will be provided to non-majors.
Selected participants will receive free GPU notebooks, expert lectures, and mentoring. On the third day, project results will be presented and demonstrated in front of Meta and Upstage officials, with outstanding teams being selected.
The top team will receive a prize of 1 million won, and two excellent teams will each receive 500,000 won. All members of the prize-winning teams will be exempt from the document screening process for Upstage internships.
Jeong Heung-bo, the executive vice president of the Korea Radio Promotion Association, stated, “We will nurture talents who can apply world-class AI technology to domestic education and industry settings.”

Son He-in, Vice President of Upstage’s Education Department, stated, “We will support participants to develop AI services that can be practically implemented.”
