The Korea Polytechnic University and the Korea Robot Industry Association signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on March 18 in Incheon to foster robotic technology talent.
On March 18, the Korea Polytechnic University announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Robot Industry Association at the school’s Bupyeong-gu, Incheon conference room to cultivate robotic technology manpower.
Through this agreement, the two institutions will pursue collaborations in cultivating next-generation robotic technology personnel based on artificial intelligence (AI) and supporting their employment, exchanging industry information, technology, human and material resources in the robotics field, and developing customized robot education curricula and creating educational environments.

Based on its experience in robotic technology education, Korea Polytechnic University is responding to the rapid growth in demand for skilled personnel in the robotics industry. The Robot Campus, established in 2021 as the nation’s first specialized robotics university, boasts an employment rate of 83.3% for its first graduates, with a retention employment rate of 93.9%. In particular, the employment rate in robotics-related companies surpasses 86%, proving the educational excellence of their robotic technology program.
Lee Cheol-su, chairman of Korea Polytechnic University, stated, “We will continue to join forces to strengthen and advance the competitiveness of the Korean robotics industry,” and emphasized the commitment “to cultivating field-oriented robotic talent needed in the industry.”
Meanwhile, Korea Polytechnic University is training 4,590 individuals in the fields of robotics and automation at 36 campuses nationwide this year and is accepting applications for high-tech vocational education courses until March 21. More details can be found on the university’s website.
