The Jongno-gu district of Seoul announced that a traditional craft experience event, “Jongno Craft Workshop Walk,” will be held on October 11 from 2 PM to 4 PM at the Bukchon Traditional Crafts Experience Center (24-5 Bukchon-ro 12-gil, Jongno-gu).

This event is organized to widely promote the charm and value of our traditional culture and to share the meaning of the holiday. The program includes traditional craft experiences as well as music performances that enhance the autumn atmosphere and the sharing of Songpyeon, a traditional holiday food.

The experience program offers “Mood Light Making Using Hanji” and “Hamaengi Bukeo Made with Natural Dye.” Traditional craft artisans, who have been active in Bukchon for a long time, will participate and assist participants in completing their own works.

At the event site, performances will take place against the background of Bukchon’s autumn scenery, and visitors can share Songpyeon together, fostering bonds among family and neighbors.

“Jongno Craft Workshop Walk” is open to all citizens interested in traditional crafts. Registration is available through the Seoul Public Service Reservation website, and a participation fee is required. Detailed information can be checked through the Seoul Public Service Reservation or the Jongno-gu Office Tourism and Sports Department Tourism Business Team.

Jongno District Mayor Jung Moon-heon stated, “You will be able to experience the richness of autumn and the abundance of Chuseok while directly engaging with traditional crafts,” and added, “We will continue to discover a variety of cultural content that utilizes Jongno’s traditional cultural resources to allow citizens to enjoy and empathize together in the future.”
