Good Land Publishing has published Lee Hong-beom’s travel essay, “Italy, There Are Us”.
This book is a collection of writings and photographs that record the landscapes and emotions encountered by the author while traveling through Italian cities.
The author graduated from Korea University’s College of Law and Graduate School, and the University of Pennsylvania Law School in the United States, and obtained a lawyer’s license in the state of New York. He has a history of experiencing over 40 countries through studying abroad, business trips, and family trips while working as an in-house lawyer for a large corporation for over 30 years.
The book is centered around memories and emotions that surfaced in Italy’s unfamiliar alleys and squares. It connects the physical movement through travel and the flow of emotions towards people, containing reflections on the relationship of “us”.
The photographs were taken by the author himself and are presented alongside the text. The text and photos are placed side by side without mutual interpretation, allowing the reader to complete their own emotions.
