Hyundai Motor Company first unveiled its flagship SUV, ‘The all-new Palisade’, to the North American market at the ‘2025 New York International Auto Show’ held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York, USA on the 16th (Wednesday, local time).

The Palisade is a completely revamped second-generation model that has been redesigned after six years. It features a new design and next-generation hybrid system, along with an expanded interior space. The strong exterior begins with vertically aligned daytime running lights, maximizing spaciousness with a length of 5,060mm and a wheelbase of 2,970mm. The interior’s horizontal structure and premium materials enhance the luxury feel.

The powertrain consists of a 3.5 gasoline engine and a 2.5 turbo hybrid. The hybrid incorporates electric vehicle technology such as Stay Mode and interior V2L functionality. Advanced safety technologies like driving assistance, collision prevention, and driver condition monitoring are extensively applied.

The ‘Palisade XRT Pro’ trim, which emphasizes off-road sensibilities, was also unveiled. It features electronic AWD, an electronic limited slip differential (E-LSD) for the rear wheels, 18-inch all-terrain tires, and front and rear towing hooks. The ground clearance is raised by 25mm to 212mm.

Exclusive alloy wheels, emblems, a dedicated grille, and cladding complete the rugged exterior of the XRT Pro. SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Design for Hyundai Genesis, explained, “We have completed a differentiated model by adding off-road specialized sensibility to the luxury of the existing Palisade.”
