Seoul’s Guro District held an award ceremony for outstanding donors of the ‘2025 Hope Ondol: Warm Winter Campaign’ at the district office auditorium on the 30th, expressing gratitude to a total of 56 donors.
The award recipients included both high-value donors and regular contributors. The awards were distributed as follows: one Seoul Mayor’s Award, 45 Guro District Office Awards, and 10 Seoul Community Chest Awards. The event was attended by Guro District Head Jang In-hong, Seoul Community Chest Secretary-General Shin Hye-young, and Guro Hope Welfare Foundation President Kang Kwang-won, who personally presented the awards to the donors.

A separate certificate of appreciation will be delivered in July to 30 outstanding donors who contributed more than 5 million won in cash or 10 million won in kind.
“Your warm contributions have become a great hope for our neighbors,” said Jang In-hong, the district head. “We will continue to strive to spread a culture of sharing that involves both the public and private sectors,” he added.
Meanwhile, through the ‘2025 Hope Ondol: Warm Winter Campaign’, Guro District raised a total of 4.6 billion won (800 million won in cash and 3.8 billion won in kind) from November 2024 to February 2025. This achievement far exceeded the initial target of 2 billion won, marking the highest record in Guro’s history and making it a four-time consecutive excellent district in Seoul City.
