Seoul’s Geumcheon-gu announced on the 7th that 10 local small and medium-sized enterprises achieved a total of $1.55 million (approximately 2.1 billion won) in Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) at ‘Lifestyle Week Health & Beauty Expo,’ Japan’s largest consumer goods exhibition held in Tokyo.
To support small and medium-sized enterprises struggling to enter overseas markets, Geumcheon-gu Mayor Yoo Seong-hoon visited the expo and actively supported the participating local companies in the G-Valley Pavilion. The participating companies included UDM Co., Gyeongin Electronics Co., STB International Co., and Idea Yakup Co., among a total of 10 companies.
Among them, UDM Co. signed an exclusive online and offline supply MOU with Asian Bridge of Japan, and Idea Yakup Co. signed an MOU for product management and marketing with Yejia of China. STB International Co. made an MOU with Japan’s csLABO regarding product supply and orders.
Geumcheon-gu expects a total export contract size of $7 million to be completed in the future and plans to continue providing follow-up performance management support to companies that participated in the expo.

This expo was also an opportunity to enhance exchanges between companies from both countries by forming a special stage called ‘DISCOVER KOREA’ to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Korea-Japan diplomatic relations. Geumcheon-gu plans to support companies participating in the ‘CES 2026’ in Las Vegas, USA next January.
Mayor Yoo stated, “This expo seems to have been an important opportunity for Geumcheon-gu companies to gain international recognition for their technology and marketability in the K-beauty industry and to advance onto the global stage.” He added, “We will continue to discover and support promising companies in Geumcheon-gu to enhance their competitiveness in the global market.”
