The city of Gangnam-gu in Seoul will hold an online special lecture titled “Real Parenting that Grows with Your Child” from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the 9th, targeting parents with children and teenagers. This special lecture is part of the parent support program “Parent Life Handbook” by the Gangnam-gu Youth Mental Health Support Center.
The lecture will be conducted by Professor Sun-Mi Cho from Ajou University School of Medicine. Professor Cho is an expert in clinical psychology and has been providing psychological assessments, counseling, and parent education for over 30 years to children and parents. The lecture will present ways to understand and cope with changes at each developmental stage of a child and provide parenting guidelines that parents are curious about.
After the lecture, there will be a session where parents can ask questions and Professor Cho will provide direct answers. This provides an opportunity for parents to share their real concerns and seek solutions.

This special lecture will be broadcast live online for households where both parents work or those who have difficulty going out due to caregiving issues. All programs and lectures of the Gangnam-gu Youth Mental Health Support Center are free. Residents wishing to participate can apply in advance through the center’s website under “Service Application – Psychological Service – Psychological Education.”
Gangnam-gu Mayor Seong-Myeong Jo stated, “I hope this lecture will be an opportunity for parents to gain wisdom and empathy in their relationship with their children,” adding, “We will continue to operate professional programs that protect the mental health of adolescents and build healthy families.”
