From June 26 to July 10, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, announced that it will receive applications for the second round of the “2025 Seoul Lifelong Learning Voucher.” Any adult resident over the age of 19 registered in Gangnam-gu can apply, regardless of income. The district plans to provide lifelong education expenses worth up to 350,000 KRW per person to a total of 477 residents.

The Seoul Lifelong Learning Voucher is provided in the form of points on the NH Nonghyup Cheum Card and can be used for certificate, language, humanities courses, and material fees at institutions registered as voucher usage institutions. In the first round of recruitment in April, a total of 569 people, including the general public and those with disabilities, received support.

In the second round of recruitment, a total of 477 people were selected as eligible recipients: 313 from the general pool, 96 for digital, and 68 for seniors. Especially due to Seoul’s Regulatory Improvement No. 85, the income requirement has been abolished, allowing not only existing beneficiaries but also ordinary citizens to apply. From this second round, digital and senior vouchers are newly included.

The digital voucher targets residents over the age of 30 and can only be used at institutions registered as digital voucher usage institutions. The senior voucher targets those over the age of 65 and the usage institutions are the same as those for the general voucher.

Applications can be made online through the Seoul Lifelong Learning Voucher website, and those over 65 or with disabilities can also apply in person at their local community service center. Applications are accepted from 10 a.m. on June 26 to 6 p.m. on July 10.

Selections will be based on eligibility criteria, and if the number of applicants exceeds the target, priority selection will be given to basic livelihood security recipients and low-income families, followed by random selection for the remainder. Final results will be individually notified by text message at the end of July.

Cho Sung-myung, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, said, “This second round of recruitment is significant as it can provide opportunities for learning to more residents without income restrictions,” and added, “We will continue to actively support residents to improve their quality of life through lifelong learning.”
