The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will host the ‘2025 Land and Transport Technology Exchange’ at Coex, Seoul from June 19 to 20.
This technology exchange is organized to facilitate technology exchanges among experts related to land transport technology and to build a network for cooperation among industries, universities, and research institutes. The event is hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and organized by the Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement.
The exchange, under the slogan ‘Opening the Infinite Possibilities of Land Transport Technology, Connect Technologies’, will feature key programs such as technology conferences, grand forums, master lectures, and performance sharing sessions.
During the technology conference, discussions will revolve around the theme ‘Innovations in Land Transport Technology Driven by AI and DX’, covering trends in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation (DX) technologies utilized in urban planning, spatial information, and social overhead capital (SOC) sectors, followed by expert discussions.
In the grand forum, presentations and discussions will address social issues like population decline and climate change, highlighting their connection with land transport technology.
The master lecture will feature experts in AI, robotics, and quantum technology, along with popular science YouTubers like Gwedo and Lee Hyo-jong, who will explain technology trends.
The performance sharing session will showcase outstanding research and development (R&D) cases in the land transport sector. A special exhibition will introduce national strategic technologies like autonomous vehicles (UAM), alongside technology matching consultations, and workshops for SMEs on technology commercialization.
During the opening ceremony, Jang Byeong-tak, director of the AI Research Institute at Seoul National University, will deliver a keynote speech on ‘The Future of Land and Mobility Opened by AI’.
