Seoul Eunpyeong-gu, Eungam 3-dong announced on the 2nd that they delivered household goods to 30 welfare recipient households affected by the flooding, organized by the volunteer camp on the 28th of last month.

The volunteer camps in Gusan-dong, Jeungsan-dong, and Sinsa 1-dong collaborated in this support. The items provided included 300 dehumidifiers, 30 cans of insect repellent, and 120 pouches of soup. The recipients were residents who have been facing difficulties due to the recent flood.

The Eungam 3-dong volunteer camp not only assisted with the provision of supplies but also visited the affected households to inspect the on-site conditions and listen to any grievances. The plan is to strengthen the local cooperative system to prevent vulnerable groups like welfare recipients from suffering due to a lack of household goods.

Eunpyeong-gu plans to collaborate with the volunteer network to minimize flood damage and continue support activities that provide practical help to residents who fall into welfare blind spots.

Ji-eun Lee, the head of the Eungam 3-dong volunteer camp, said, “I hope the sincerity shared by local residents will help stabilize the lives of affected families,” and added, “I will continue to practice sharing with my neighbors in the future.”

Young-sook Kim, the head of Eungam 3-dong, stated, “This support was possible thanks to the warm hearts of many, including volunteers,” and expressed gratitude, saying, “I am thankful to everyone who contributed their efforts to help their struggling neighbors.”
