On the 7th of next month at 5 PM, Dongjak District in Seoul announced their plan to host a ‘Classical Orchestra Concert’ at Soongsil University’s Hankyung-Jik Memorial Hall with the conductor Gum Nan-sae.

The concert will feature a 55-member New World Philharmonic Orchestra led by Gum Nan-sae. The performance is expected to last about 90 minutes.

Baritone Kim Jong-pyo, bandoneon player Kim Jong-wan, and guitarist Ji Ik-hwan will join the collaboration. The program includes a suite of the movie ‘Star Wars’ OST, opera arias, Galliano’s ‘Tango for Claude’, and a medley of film scores.

Before and after the performance, conductor Gum Nan-sae will provide commentary on the pieces. The composition is designed with audiences unfamiliar with classical music in mind.

The concert is aimed at approximately 1,200 residents of Dongjak District and will be free of charge.

Dongjak District Mayor Park Il-ha stated, “I hope this performance will allow many residents to communicate and empathize through music,” and added, “We will continue to discover various programs to ensure high-quality cultural life.”
