To discuss the response to the climate crisis and the shift to sustainable environmental policies, a seminar will be held on May 15 (Thursday) at 2 PM at the international conference hall on the 20th floor of the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul.

The seminar, titled “Considering the Future of Korea’s Environment in the Era of Climate Crisis: A Forum for Ensuring Environmental Rights and Policy Transition,” is jointly organized by the Environmental Daily and the Korean Society for Environmental Technology. Approximately 150 participants, including environmental groups, academia, media, civil society, and youth organizations, are expected to attend.

This seminar focuses on enhancing public awareness of “environmental rights” as a constitutional fundamental right, youth generation’s policy participation, and the proposal of technology-based environmental policy solutions.

Notably, the “National Environmental Rights Declaration” will be announced to declare the will of civil society both domestically and internationally, and policy ideas proposed by young people will be materialized through direct communication with policymakers. Presentations centered on technology and strategies for public-private cooperation will also be discussed.

The seminar aims to bring together media, academia, youth, and technical experts to collaborate and discuss solutions to address the era-defining challenges of responding to the climate crisis and ensuring environmental rights. It is expected to serve as an opportunity to foster solidarity between the public and government and promote policy transition.
