The Ministry of Science and ICT (Vice Prime Minister and Minister Bae Kyung-hoon) announced that it will hold the ‘2025 Korea Intelligent IoT Week (AIoT Week Korea)’ at COEX in Seoul from November 26 to 28 for three days.
This event, now in its 12th year, aims to discuss the industrial development direction of ‘Intelligent Internet of Things (AIoT),’ a convergence technology of artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), and to allow citizens to directly experience AIoT technology innovation in their daily lives.
The theme is ‘Artificial Intelligence for All, Realizing the Intelligence of Everyday Life through the Internet of Things.’ On the first day of the event, various events were held, including the ▲AIoT International Exhibition, ▲Intelligent Home International Standard Matter Conference, and ▲AI·IoT Convergence Showcase.
At the AIoT International Exhibition (November 26~28, COEX 3rd Floor Hall D), over 150 companies from home and abroad showcased the latest technologies such as AI chips, AI agents, and physical AI. Participating companies displayed intelligent services and products applicable in various industrial fields such as energy, manufacturing, logistics, and safety.
The ‘AI·IoT Convergence Showcase,’ which allows direct experience of AI and IoT convergence technology, introduced AI-based auditory assistance solutions, safety management platforms utilizing ecological signals, and on-device AI vision technology. Business cooperation meetings between demand companies and startups and venture capital (VC) investment advice sessions were also held.
At the ‘AIoT New Products and Solutions Presentation,’ 10 selected participating companies presented products utilizing the latest technologies, including on-device-based construction safety monitoring, allowing attendees to experience them firsthand.
In the ‘Intelligent Home International Standard Matter Conference,’ the technical strategy manager of the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), an international private standards organization leading the development of the Matter standard, delivered the keynote speech. Case studies of intelligent home services for multi-family housing and elderly care were presented by Kyung Dong Navien, Hyundai HT, and others, sharing the latest technology and certification policies.
In the subsequent ‘AI·IoT·Metaverse Convergence Future City Presentation,’ the IoT Convergence Forum and City Bus Standardization Forum co-hosted discussions on building an ‘Intelligent Future City’ by combining smart city and extended reality (XR) technologies.
On the second day (November 27), the ‘AIoT International Symposium’ takes place, under the theme ‘From Connection to Intelligence, Creating AI for All Together,’ featuring 5 fields, 8 sessions, and 27 presentations in total. Professor Detlef Zuehlke, a key figure in Germany’s Industry 4.0, will deliver the keynote speech to propose directions for AI-based manufacturing innovation.
On the final day (November 28), the ‘OCEAN Summit 2025’ will be hosted by OCEAN (Open allianCE for IoT stANdard), an international standard (oneM2M) based IoT open-source alliance, sharing technologies and cases for building AI cities.
Choi Woo-hyuk, Director of the Network Policy Office at the Ministry of Science and ICT, stated, “The Internet of Things is rapidly evolving into the Intelligent Internet of Things (AIoT) with the combination of AI. Let’s work closely with industry and government to ensure that AIoT firmly establishes itself as core infrastructure driving innovation in our lives.”
