UNGC (United Nations Global Compact) Korea and i-ESG, a data and AI solutions company specialized in ESG, have jointly developed the ‘AI-powered Sustainability Assessment Platform (ASAP)’, which has now officially launched. The announcement was made during a joint session at the ‘2025 Korea Leaders Summit’.
ASAP is an intelligent evaluation platform developed in accordance with UNGC’s Communication on Progress (CoP) framework for corporate sustainability and major global ESG regulatory standards. It not only diagnoses but also uses AI and ESG specialized data to extract improvement points tailored for each company and suggests actionable plans. Depending on the company’s ESG level, UNGC’s programs, initiatives, and learning content are automatically recommended, leading to practical improvement activities.
This platform marks the first collaborative project combining UNGC’s expertise in ESG policy with i-ESG’s AI technology, database, and global operational experience. It is particularly noteworthy as it is the world’s first ESG platform to integrate AI technology with CoP-based diagnostics.

Initially, ASAP will be provided primarily to UNGC’s domestic member companies. As the activity data of participating companies accumulates, its functions will be further enhanced. Companies lacking expert ESG personnel or having difficulty formulating detailed execution plans are expected to handle ESG more efficiently and systematically using the platform.
Kim Jong-woon, CEO of i-ESG, stated, “With the strengthening of ESG regulations, companies must go beyond risk analysis to implement specific improvement actions, but face challenges due to the complexity and scope limitations. ASAP will develop into an intelligent platform that drives tangible ESG actions by combining UNGC’s policy expertise and i-ESG’s data and AI technologies.”
i-ESG holds over ten AI technology patents and possesses a database specialized in ESG of over five million cases. The company has been recognized for its global technological competitiveness, having been awarded the ADB Challenge Winner and selected as the APAC Top Data-driven Platform 2025.
