Nota, a lightweight AI optimization technology company (CEO Chae Myung-soo), announced on the 17th that it will participate in the government-led ‘Autonomous Vehicle M.AX Alliance’ for a paradigm shift in autonomous driving AI.

As a supplier of artificial intelligence lightweight and optimization technology, Nota will play a role in strengthening the national competitive edge in autonomous vehicles through technology support.

The ‘M.AX Alliance’ is a public-private joint consultative body launched by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry to promote AI transformation (AX) in the domestic manufacturing industry.

The alliance is divided into 10 industrial sectors, with Hyundai Motor, LG Electronics, Hyundai Mobis, HL Klemove, and Mando participating as anchor companies in the autonomous driving sector. In addition to these companies, AI specialist companies like Nota participate in the joint development of hardware and software platforms for realizing software-defined vehicles (SDV).

Nota serves as an on-device AI technology supplier within the alliance. It supports demand companies in efficiently applying AI technology by using high-performance AI semiconductors for vehicles, providing key technologies for a successful AI transformation (AX) related to autonomous driving.

In particular, Nota, through ‘AI model lightweight and optimization’ technology, assists demand companies in maximizing performance at minimal cost and time by adjusting autonomous vehicle AI models according to the execution environment.

Nota is also involved in projects led by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, with LG Electronics and HL Klemove each taking the lead. In these projects, by applying AI model lightweight and optimization technology, Nota supports the commercialization of end-to-end (E2E) autonomous driving products and contributes to the completion of software-defined vehicles by applying it to in-cabin interactive agent services for vehicle interior spaces.

Chae Myung-soo, CEO of Nota, stated, “AI lightweight and optimization technology is a core foundational technology for promoting AI transformation across all industries beyond autonomous vehicles,” and added, “Nota will participate in various sectors for the government’s manufacturing AI transformation (M.AX) and contribute to strengthening national AI competitiveness.”
