The Metaverse Alliance (Chairman Yoo Ji-sang) secretariat, under the Korea Metaverse Industry Association, announced on the 6th that it will hold the “2025 Metaverse Alliance Section Integration Open Seminar” on November 13th at 2 p.m. at the Ilsan KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1, Hall 5.
This seminar is organized to share the annual achievements of the four sections within the alliance and to discuss the current status and future strategies of the metaverse industry centered around AI convergence.
The Metaverse Alliance, which was initiated by the private sector and supported by the government, was launched in May 2021. Currently, over 1,130 member companies are participating, promoting a sustainable metaverse ecosystem and industrial activation through collaboration among private, public, industry, and academia sectors.
The alliance is operating four sections: △Future Strategy △Talent Development △Ethics System △Technical Standards. Each section involves related experts discussing major issues such as industry concerns, policies, and technology standardization, providing a forum for cooperation and exchange.
This year, the impact of AI on the convergence industry has been a major agenda. Each section has deeply discussed the development direction of AI convergence technologies, related legal systems, and talent development strategies, maintaining an open operational approach where member companies can participate freely.
At the open seminar, each section head will present topics. CEO Jeong Jin-wook of SEERS Lab (Future Strategy Section Head) will present “AI-based Convergence Innovation Technologies and Future Trends,” and Song Ho-seok, head of the Korea Radio Promotion Association (Talent Development Section Head) will present “Talent Development Strategy Linked to Employment and Entrepreneurship in the AI Era.” Attorney Song Do-young of Beat Law Firm (Ethics System Section Head) will present “AI Compliance Strategy for Convergence Business Operators,” and Professor Yoon Kyeong-ro of Konkuk University (Technical Standards Section Head) will present “Main Activities and Standardization Status of the Technical Standards Section.”
On-site investment and legal consultancy booths will be set up at the seminar, allowing participating companies to receive practical consultations related to section activities. It will be operated as a place to resolve industry-related queries immediately on-site.
Chairman Yoo Ji-sang emphasized, “The metaverse is preparing for a second leap by securing cost efficiency and operational stability through AI convergence, combined with existing core industries,” and he added, “The Metaverse Alliance will continue to serve as a bridge for industry development and ecosystem creation as a cooperation platform led by the private sector and supported by the government.”
The “Metaverse Alliance Section Integration Open Seminar” is open to anyone who pre-applies through the Metaverse Alliance’s official website, free of charge.
