Naver has introduced a new AI-based digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising solution that allows small and medium-sized businesses, even those with little experience in advertising, to easily execute digital outdoor advertisements.
Naver Corporation (led by CEO Choi Soo-yeon) announced on the 3rd that it has launched a new DOOH solution, ‘ADVoost Screen’, which incorporates AI technology.
ADVoost Screen is Naver’s new advertising solution that allows tailored advertising on digital media installed in various offline spaces such as cinemas, billboards, and public transportation. The solution digitizes the execution process of outdoor advertising with AI technology. Additionally, it enhances accessibility by adding a weekly execution option to the existing monthly-only execution format, facilitating easier use for small and medium-sized businesses.
Traditionally, outdoor advertising required advertisers to connect directly with individual media operators. There was also a high minimum cost required for executing advertisements, posing difficulties for small and medium-sized businesses. To address these limitations, Naver streamlined complex processes such as registering ad materials, reviewing, and data verification, enabling advertisers to manage everything through the Naver advertising system. This allows those without outdoor advertising experience to execute digital outdoor advertising with ease.

ADVoost Screen incorporates Naver’s video AI technology, ‘AutoClip AI’. AutoClip AI automatically recognizes different screen ratios and sizes for each media and optimizes the format of the ad videos. For instance, if a horizontal video ad is to be displayed on vertical or specially-sized media, AI automatically converts the original video to fit the specifications. This feature allows advertisers, who may lack experience in creating diverse ad materials, to execute advertisements without additional video editing processes.
The solution is also characterized by its diversity in exposure surfaces. ADVoost Screen has secured life-touch digital media with high advertising visibility, such as cinemas, large urban LED billboards, taxi LED screens, and devices used for ordering and payment in restaurants. Advertisers can utilize these media to enhance the efficiency of outdoor advertising.
In the future, Naver plans to provide additional features for detailed target settings according to marketing goals in areas such as offices, shopping, and transportation. The company also intends to gradually expand the linked media and launch a separate ADVoost Screen product within the year, allowing self-employed and small business owners to advertise using various media around their business locations.
