SK Telecom (CEO Yu Young-sang) has announced that it will implement measures to enhance security at customer touchpoints while initiating a full-scale innovation in its distribution network information security.

SK Telecom has introduced the first-ever ‘T Safe 24-Hour Security Center’ that operates 24/7 all year round. This center provides one-stop support from the initial response to cyber incidents to recovery. The existing customer center operated only from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, offering limited services such as reporting lost or found phones during nights and weekends. With the expanded service, customers can now receive personalized advice from security specialists at any time.
The center offers immediate blocking of and emergency measures against cyber attacks such as phishing, smishing, and hacking. It also provides security checks and prevention services to prevent secondary damage, assistance with reporting to related agencies, and support for damage investigation, compensation, and post-recovery management. Customers can receive emergency measures and prevention information through the SK Telecom customer center (114) or the ‘T Safe 24-Hour Security Center’ (080-800-0577).
SK Telecom plans to enhance the security expertise of its consulting staff by gradually implementing security training. It will collaborate with the National Police Agency to educate about the latest security threats and response strategies and also establish a joint response system.
Security services will also be enhanced in offline stores. More than 2,500 T World stores nationwide will operate as ‘T Safe Stores’ providing specialized security consultation. ‘T Safe Guards’ who have completed training with the police and experts will be stationed at these stores. Customers visiting the store can receive help with security service consultations and subscriptions, phone security settings, accident damage verification and blocking, and reporting guidance.
Online, security is reinforced through the ‘T Safe Briefing’ service. Upon accessing T World, users can check their security status in three areas: network security, phone security, and safe counseling. The network security area provides guidance on blocking abnormal authentication, SIM protection services, and spam blocking services. In the phone security area, users can utilize ‘AI Safe Assistant Educom Call,’ a service that blocks AI-based spam and phishing suspicious numbers. In the safe counseling area, functions to connect local ‘T Safe Stores’ and specialized security customer centers are provided.
Yoon Jae-woong, SK Telecom’s Marketing Strategy Headquarters Director, stated, “We have prepared multiple safety nets to ensure customers are safely protected from various security threats,” adding, “We will continue to strive for a reassuring experience for customers in their daily lives.”
