On June 5, Dongjak District in Seoul designated and announced the project executor for the housing maintenance-type redevelopment project of Sangdo 15th district. The project executor is Daishin Asset Trust Co., Ltd.

This designation comes just two months after the area was confirmed as a rapid integrated planning redevelopment maintenance zone by Seoul City in April. Dongjak District stated that it fulfilled all the legal requirements, including qualifications of the applicant, project execution capability, and consent rate, based on a comprehensive review of the application documents.

The Sangdo 15th district spans approximately 141,286㎡ around 279 Sangdo-dong in Dongjak District. This area is set to be developed into a large-scale apartment complex with up to 35 floors across 33 buildings, totaling 3,204 households. Upon completion, it will become one of the largest residential complexes in Dongjak District.

This district is located near Namsan Hill, allowing for a residential complex that is close to nature. Various types of buildings such as terrace houses and shopping centers are also planned. Another advantage is the potential view of the Han River.

Dongjak District anticipates that the designation will accelerate the redevelopment project. Subsequent procedures such as administrative process simplification and reduction of licensing periods are expected to follow swiftly.

Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak District, said, “Sangdo 15th district is a key project site for improving old residential areas,” emphasizing the intention to enhance the living environment for residents through the redevelopment project.
