The district of Gangseo in Seoul is implementing a service that allows families preparing for a 100-day or first birthday celebration to rent photography spaces and props for free. Users can utilize the space and props without any cost.
The Gangseo District Comprehensive Childcare Support Center offers the “Gangseo Ai Baekil Dol Cut” service, providing free space for 100-day and first birthday photography. The community childcare room on the center’s second floor serves as the shooting location, available every Monday from 1:30 PM to 3 PM. Users need to bring their own camera equipment.

The shooting area is equipped with a set for 100-day and first birthday decorations, doljabi items, background cloths, and tripods. Users can apply for use on the website of the Gangseo District Comprehensive Childcare Support Center each month.
For families wishing to commemorate these events at home, a rental service for birthday and 100-day decor props is also provided. Four types of sets, including screens, tablecloths, and pedestals, are available. The options include modern, traditional, pink, and blue themes, and they also include doljabi props. The rental period is seven days.
Gangseo District expects this service to help reduce the financial burden on caregivers and support family preparations for significant commemorations.
Head of Gangseo District, Jin Kyo-hoon, stated, “In an era of low birth rates, policies that alleviate childcare burdens are important. We will expand various childcare support policies to allow families to celebrate and record their child’s growth together.”
