The Seoul Center for Women and Family, under the Seoul Foundation for Women & Family, is hosting the ‘2025 Seoul Women Entrepreneurial Idea Competition’. The competition aims to discover and promote creative entrepreneurial ideas from women.
This is the fifth time the competition has been held, targeting ideas from various industrial fields such as knowledge, manufacturing, distribution, and service. A total of 15 entries will be selected, and a business development support fund of a total of 15 million KRW will be awarded.
Eligible applicants are prospective female entrepreneurs with a residence or business address in Seoul or female entrepreneurs within three years of starting a business. Applications can be submitted individually or as a team. The reference date is May 12, 2025.
The judging will be divided into preliminary entrepreneurs and early entrepreneurs, conducted through documentation and presentations. Applicants who received job training or entrepreneurial consulting from the Seoul Center for Women and Family will receive extra points in the presentation evaluation.
Awards will be given to winners as follows: △ Grand Prize – 1 case, 4 million KRW △ Excellence Award – 2 cases, 2 million KRW each △ Merit Award – 2 cases, 1 million KRW each △ Creativity Award – 10 cases, 500,000 KRW each. All successful candidates from the first document screening will receive expert consulting and prototype production support (limited to three people).
Applications will be accepted online via Google Forms until 3 PM on July 3, 2025. Details and submission documents can be found on the Seoul Foundation for Women & Family website.
Min-Soon Seo, the president of the Seoul Foundation for Women & Family, urged participation, stating, “This competition could be the starting point for women’s creative ideas to develop into tangible startups.”
