The ‘2025 Busan International Boat Show,’ which provides a perspective on the present and future of the marine leisure industry, will be held from April 18 to 20 at Busan BEXCO and the Suyeong River Haeundae River Cruise area. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the City of Busan, this exhibition marks its 11th iteration this year.
The Busan International Boat Show is Korea’s representative exhibition specializing in marine leisure equipment. Aiming to enhance industrial competitiveness and popularize marine leisure sports, this year’s event will see participation from approximately 130 companies, operating over 850 booths. The exhibition will be held in two zones—on land and water—and will cover not only yachts and boats, but navigation, communication, safety equipment, and leisure supplies as well.
At BEXCO Hall 1, export consultations will also be conducted. Business meetings involving foreign buyers from 12 countries, including those from America, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, will be held throughout the event. This is expected to serve as a foothold for domestic marine leisure companies to advance into overseas markets.
Various experience programs are available for general visitors. Indoor exhibition halls will offer experiences like surfing and canoeing, children’s fishing, life jacket wearing techniques, and first aid education. Visitors who tour the exhibition can also take advantage of free boat rides at the offshore exhibition near the Suyeong River River Cruise.

This year, a new luxury yacht tour departing from Suan Bay Yacht Stadium has been prepared for foreign tourists, focusing on promoting the charm of Busan’s marine tourism.
The opening ceremony will be held on the 18th at 2 PM in Hall 2 of BEXCO Hall 1. The opening declaration will be followed by the ‘Boat of the Year’ award ceremony, including a schedule for distinguished guests to view the exhibition. The head of Busan Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries, the Deputy Mayor of Busan, and the chairman of the city council are expected to attend.
Forums and meetings will also take place. On the 19th, a forum on the revitalization of the marine leisure tourism industry and a meeting of relevant parties are scheduled. In addition, programs such as kayak experiences and bracelet making for family visitors will be provided.
Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Kang Do-hyung said, “This boat show is an opportunity to widely promote the technology and status of the domestic marine leisure industry. I hope visitors enjoy experiencing the diverse content and feel the charm of marine leisure.”
