The ‘Rising Leaders 300’ program, which supports the growth of promising mid-sized companies through support from both the government and the private sector, will once again offer preferential financing worth up to 1 trillion won this year.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Woori Bank will provide financial assistance to approximately 80 mid-sized companies this year, with recruitment for 40 companies open from April 1 to April 25 for the first half of the year. Applications can be submitted through specialized agencies in each field.

This program aims to strengthen the competitiveness of mid-sized companies in the fields of exports, technology development, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), and digital transformation, offering up to 30 billion won in loans per company and interest rate benefits of up to 1.5 percentage points, along with additional financial services such as discounts on foreign remittance fees.

Since its introduction in 2023, the program has provided a total of 1.3133 trillion won to 139 companies. An automotive parts manufacturing company, Company A, received 30 billion won to establish a plant in India and enter new markets, while an information communication company, Company B, received 28 billion won to begin AI research and development and commercialization. A total of 71 companies in the export sector, 26 in technology development, 30 responding to ESG, and 12 in digital transformation have benefited from the support.

Moving forward, the government plans to continuously expand policy financing such as loans, guarantees, and funds, and strengthen tailored financial support based on the growth stages of mid-sized companies.
