Geumcheon-gu announced that it will operate a ‘Regular Academy’ science and technology education program for youth and residents at the Geumcheon Science Cube from April to June.
This academy is composed of courses in various fields such as digital literacy, coding, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, and video editing, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Programs are tailored for elementary school students, middle school students, and adults and will consist of 4 to 12 sessions.
Among the lectures aimed at youth, a coding certification class is included, featuring practice-oriented education using expert instructors and the latest equipment. Weekend classes have also been strengthened to meet the demand of residents who find it difficult to participate on weekdays, and a new ‘media literacy’ course for younger elementary students has been newly established.
Residents who wish to enroll can apply on a first-come, first-served basis through the integrated reservation service on the Geumcheon-gu Office website, and only one course per person can be applied for. From March 28, residents from other areas can also apply. All lectures are offered free of charge.
