The Korea National Police University and Chung-Ang University signed an agreement for academic and administrative exchange on March 25, 2025. The signing ceremony was held at Chung-Ang University, with key figures in attendance including Dean Oh Munkyo of the Police University and President Park Sang-kyu of Chung-Ang University.
This agreement aims to promote practical cooperation in various fields such as academic, information, and human resource exchanges, student exchanges with credit recognition, and joint education and research projects. Notably, the combination of Chung-Ang University’s excellent research capabilities in industrial security and the Police University’s expertise in policing and legal fields is expected to create a synergistic effect for future policing policies and technical collaboration.
Both institutions have been collaborating in academic and practical matters related to the prevention of industrial technology leakage under the leadership of the Korean Society for Industrial Security. With this agreement, the scope of cooperation will be officially expanded.
Oh Munkyo, the dean of the Police University, expressed optimism, stating, “The creative research base of Chung-Ang University combined with the practical capabilities of the Police University will lead to meaningful cooperation.” President Park Sang-kyu of Chung-Ang University announced, “We will produce tangible results through enhanced cooperation focused on industrial security and cyber security as two main pillars.”
The two universities plan to launch various joint research and policy proposals aimed at protecting national key technologies and industrial technologies as a starting point with this agreement.
