Sungbuk Cultural Foundation and Hyundai Department Store Mia Branch signed a business agreement on March 21 to promote reading and culture and arts, as well as regional symbiosis. The signing ceremony was held at the Sungbuk Cultural Foundation, with executives from both sides including Seonowon, CEO of Sungbuk Cultural Foundation, and Oh Hyung-man, branch manager of Hyundai Department Store Mia Branch, in attendance.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to jointly promote the following: △ Expansion of reading culture linked to the Sungbuk District Library △ Joint planning of local exhibition and performance content △ Mutual consultation projects to achieve the objectives of the agreement.
The agreement focuses on expanding the cultural infrastructure within the Sungbuk region and improving residents’ cultural accessibility. By collaborating with public institutions and private companies, they aim to expand library-centered cultural activities and co-plan exhibitions and performances to provide local residents with diverse cultural experiences.
Seonowon, CEO, stated, “We will continue to pursue various cultural projects for Sungbuk residents through the cooperation between the two organizations.” Hyundai Department Store Mia Branch also aims to strengthen its role as a cultural center through this agreement.
Sungbuk Cultural Foundation operates 33 cultural facilities including libraries, cinemas, and art galleries, and offers various programs to enhance cultural enjoyment rights of Sungbuk residents and strengthen the local community.
This agreement is evaluated as an organic cooperation case between the public and private sectors within the regional cultural ecosystem.
