Seoul’s Gangbuk District is introducing the city’s first day-trip camping program called ‘One-day Camping.’ Designed to allow people to enjoy camping conveniently in urban nature, this program is geared towards beginners or citizens who wish to relish the outdoors for a short time.
‘One-day Camping’ operates weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM during the months of January to April, July to August, and November to December. Available facilities include decks numbered 1 to 20, and the usage fee is 18,000 won. There is no need for advance reservations; payment can be made on-site for immediate use, with camping equipment and food & beverages available for purchase at the campsite’s store.

Uidong Family Campground in Gangbuk District, easily accessible by car from downtown Seoul, is gaining attention as a recreational space for citizens. This program is expected to attract considerable interest as it allows anyone to experience camping without significant time and financial burdens.
Gangbuk District plans to provide citizens with opportunities for relaxation in nature through this program and aims to promote family-oriented leisure culture. Additionally, they plan to design more programs to make nature more accessible to citizens.
