LG Electronics (CEO Jo Joo-wan) showcased various solutions at the world’s largest accessibility conference to help everyone use their products conveniently without being excluded. This is part of their continuous efforts to enhance accessibility for appliance users and to realize their ESG vision of ‘Better Life For All’.

LG Electronics participated in the accessibility conference ‘CSUN AT 2025’, held over four days starting March 11 (local time) in Anaheim, USA. This event is an assistive technology (AT) exhibition hosted by California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and is the largest exhibition worldwide focusing on accessibility. Global big tech companies like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft participate to showcase the latest accessibility technologies, and LG Electronics was the first among global home appliance companies to join.

At this event, LG Electronics set up a booth to showcase various accessibility solutions helping disabled and senior customers use products more conveniently. A prominent product was a new kiosk with height adjustment features and a tactile keypad. Users in wheelchairs or those who are shorter can adjust the screen height by pressing a button, and the tactile keypad accessory enhances usability for the visually impaired.

In addition, LG Electronics introduced the ‘LG Comfort Kit’ to help users easily operate appliances regardless of gender, age, or disability. Other attractions included the ‘LG ThinQ ON’ for voice-controlled appliances, the ‘Voice Menu Reading’ applied to OLED TVs, and simultaneous listening to hearing aids and speakers.

During the CSUN AT 2025, LG Electronics will host a conference with corporate and academic experts, disability organizations, focusing on AI Home, Comfort Kit, and universal design. Discussions will be held to alleviate customer inconvenience and create a more convenient environment.

This conference, hosted by LG Electronics, features attendance from the largest rehabilitation research center in North America, ‘Shepherd Center’, the American Council of the Blind, the National Center for Accessible Media (NCAM), and UC Berkeley. Participants are expected to share expertise to improve product accessibility and propose various ideas to enhance accessibility using the Comfort Kit and voice controllers.

Through their participation in this exhibition, LG Electronics intends to actively promote their commitment to enhancing accessibility and expand improvement activities by incorporating external customer feedback.

Hong Seong-min, in charge of ESG strategy, stated, “It is meaningful to showcase various products being launched in the North American market,” and added, “We will continue efforts for ‘Better Life For All’ so that customers feel choosing LG Electronics means selecting the easiest and most convenient products.”
