On the 12th, Samsung Electronics officially launched its new 55-inch OLED TV model (55SF85) with significantly enhanced AI features in the domestic market, intensifying its push into the OLED TV market.
The 2025 Samsung OLED TV is equipped with ‘AI Smart Home’ functionality that comprehensively analyzes users’ living patterns, status of home devices, weather, and indoor temperature to suggest optimal actions. For example, it recommends activating air purifiers when indoor air quality is poor, or guides users to close blinds during air conditioning to improve cooling efficiency.
The newly added ‘Home Monitoring’ feature uses on-device AI to monitor home security in real-time through the TV’s sensors and camera. When unusual movement is detected while the TV is off, it immediately sends alerts to the user’s mobile device or other TVs, enhancing security.
The 2025 OLED TV remote control includes an added AI button, which activates the ‘Click to Search’ feature when pressed. This allows users to receive recommendations for similar programs to what they’re watching or check information about appearing characters, enabling quick and easy access to information with just the remote control, without separate searches.
Additionally, using the ‘Real-time Translation’ feature, users can convert subtitles of foreign dramas or documentaries into their preferred language. Users can translate English subtitles to Korean or Korean subtitles to other languages, allowing them to enjoy global content without language barriers.
The viewing environment optimization feature using AI technology is also noteworthy. Using ‘AI Mode,’ AI automatically recognizes content genres (movies, sports, general) to provide customized picture quality and adjusts screen brightness by analyzing content brightness and ambient environment. It also includes a feature that uses AI to separate and extract content sound into dialogue, music, and sound effects, optimizing sound according to indoor environment and content characteristics.
This new OLED TV model can be purchased at an affordable price through the ‘AI All-in-One’ plan of the ‘AI Subscription Club.’ Including card benefits, Samsung AI TV can be purchased for monthly payments in the 10,000 won range, and the free repair service period is extended to 5 years.
